Wife battering exists in various cultures of the world. It takes many subtle forms, from aggression and use of verbal words to manifestation of strong hostility and threat to life. These acts result in obvious emotional disturbance and swellings on various parts of the body. Women across the world are expected to bear and endure such acts as part of family life.&#13;
&#13;
This paper discusses the definition of violence and battering. Ways to recognize a potential batterer and reasons why women do not seek help and continue to stay in abusive situations are highlighted. The challenges for national development are also outlined.

Movement from one place to another, especially for students, requires that one actively participates in school activities with the goal of succeeding. A newly admitted student in a tertiary institution experiences some transitional problems of various kinds, ranging from not knowing where to start their registration to where they will sleep for the night. Other problems include fears of getting along with other new and even old students, conflicting values, control of self, and even failure in studies.&#13;
&#13;
This paper discusses the transitional problems of students in tertiary institutions. Counseling intervention strategies were outlined, along with recommendations to make the transition smooth and easy for students.

Bullying in schools is a widespread problem that needs attention to reduce its occurrence. It is a form of violence among students that takes place in school playgrounds, dormitories, neighborhoods, and homes throughout Nigeria. It is a social and interpersonal problem that involves repeated intentional use of aggression against a less powerful other.&#13;
&#13;
This paper attempts to create awareness on the effects of bullying on students in various schools in Nigeria. It discusses the concepts of bullying, forms, signs and symptoms. The paper also highlighted the effects of bullying and characteristics of the bully and the bullied victims. Counseling strategies are outlined, and the duties of the school administrators in reducing the occurrence of bullying behavior in secondary schools of Nigeria are discussed.

This paper examines the general behavior of students on university campuses. It explores the various types of behaviors exhibited by students, including academic, social, and extracurricular activities. The study investigates factors that influence student behavior, such as peer pressure, cultural norms, and institutional policies.&#13;
&#13;
The research employed a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. A survey was administered to a sample of students across multiple universities to gather information on their behaviors and perceptions. Additionally, focus group discussions and interviews were conducted to gain deeper insights into the underlying reasons and motivations behind student behaviors.&#13;
&#13;
The findings reveal both positive and negative trends in student behavior on campuses. While many students engage in productive academic pursuits and constructive social interactions, there are also concerns regarding issues such as academic dishonesty, substance abuse, and disruptive behavior. The paper discusses the implications of these findings and provides recommendations for universities to foster a more positive and conducive learning environment.&#13;
