Resource Allocation in LTE-Advanced Network: A Collaborative Market Game Approach EGENA, Onu; OMAR, Alani The essence of high Quality of Service (QoS) provisioning in any network is centred on optimization which can be approached from different perspectives depending on the network operator’s target and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) parameter tweaking ability. In this article, we present a collaborative resource allocation technique using the Market Game that utilizes the Shapley value solution concept which is a method used in the field of Political- Economy for fair distribution of resources as exemplified in a welfare state. Modelled on the Long Term Evolution (LTE) Advanced Network, the results show an improvement in the throughputs achieved by users of the network.

EFFECTIVENESS OF COMPUTER AS INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTIONAL METHOD IN EDUCATION; A STUDY OF EKWUSIGO GAGA, Thomas Ali This study examined the effectiveness of computer as individualized instructional method in Education in Ekwusigo L.G.A, Anambra State. A survey research design was used to select respondents for the study. A total two hundred (200) copies of questionnaires were distributed to the retrieved. In analyzing the two hypotheses stated for the study, the data collected were analyzed using percentages and Chi-square. The findings revealed that; there is no significant difference on the availability of computers and facilities for individualized instruction, there is significant difference between the achievement of students taught with individualized instruction and those taught with individualized instruction. Thus based on the the findings, the following recommendations were made. The government or the secondary to provide the necessary facilities, needed for individualized instruction. The administrative bodies should try in the aspect of employing qualified teachers and to be able to pay and retain them. The qualified or experience teachers employees should try as often as possible to be attending seminars, workshops and conference in other to learn and improve in their fields.

IMPACT OF COMPUTER ON BUSINESS EDUCATION STUDIES: A STUDY OF ENUGU URBAN GAGA, Thomas Ali The business world has gone global making the use of computer and information communication technology a necessity. It is based on this that this research investigated on the impact of computer on business education studies. In the bid to realize the main objectives of this research, questionnaires were distributed, retrieved and analyzed using simple percentage and tabulation. The study was guided by four research questions. The population consisted of 50 lectures and students and there was no sampling sine the population was not to large. The result of the study showed that most of the tertiary institutions in Enugu Urban that are offering business education studies do offer computer as a course and are opportune to have access to computer facilities and equipment, it is also various business software such as Accounting Software, Business Management Software, and Stock Information Software. It is based on the findings of the study, conclusions were drawn and recommended that business software such as inventory management software; stock information system e should be introduced to the business education studies department to give the student the opportunity to enhance their ability on the use of computer.

PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE TEACHING OF COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDIES IN SOME SECONDARY SCHOOLS. GAGA, Thomas Ali This work involved; the opinions of teachers about students taught by qualified teachers and those taught by non-experts, the opinions of teachers about students taught using instructional materials and those taught without, the effect of time allocation on the time table, the effect of Government funding of computer science studies. The population of the study consists of all the computer science teachers in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The sample size was 70 teachers randomly selected from different schools in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. A simple survey method was designed to identify the problems. Four research questions and hypotheses guided the study. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire developed by the researcher and validated by three experts in Science Education, Madonna University Nigeria. The researcher also administered 120 questionnaire but 104 were returned and data were analyzed. The research questions were answered using purely simple percentages and hypotheses were tested using chi-square. The result revealed that there is significant difference between the opinions of teachers about the students taught by qualified teachers and those taught by non-experts, there is significant difference between the opinions of teachers about students taught using instructional materials and those taught without, enough periods are not allowed on the time table and adequate provision of fund from government are not always available for teaching of computer science. Conclusion and recommendations were made to improve the methods of teaching computer science. Suggestions for further research were also made.
