<title>Quality Work Life Balance of Nurses in Selected Hospitals in Niger State, Nigeria During Covid-19 Pandemic</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/2759</link>
<description>Quality Work Life Balance of Nurses in Selected Hospitals in Niger State, Nigeria During Covid-19 Pandemic
AUTA, Tanko Titus
Quality of Nursing Work Life (QNWL) is the ability to meet up the organisational goals and obligations through &#13;
the knowledge, skills and experience of nurses without compromising their own social life. &#13;
Research objective of this study was determine the quality work life balance of staff nurses in Niger State during &#13;
Covid-19 along depersonalization, emotional exhaustion and personal achievement. The study was conducted in &#13;
selected hospitals in Niger State, Nigeria, with the view to find out the quality work life balance of nurses during &#13;
covid-19 pandemic. Descriptive cross-sectional design was employed for the study over all finding revealed that &#13;
participants’ quality work life balance under depersonalisation, emotional exhaustion, and personal achievement &#13;
was moderate or in the stage of equilibrium. Major finding of the study shows that depersonalization, emotional &#13;
exhaustion and personal accomplishment among the participants were moderate with the total mean of ± SD 2.70 &#13;
± 0.86), ± SD 2.70 ± 0.77), and ± SD 3.53 ± 0.54) respectively. Although finding of the variables under study &#13;
were moderate, that notwithstanding, there is need for the management of the hospitals to put more efforts and &#13;
strategies to address grey areas that include salary, allowances, provision of PPE equipment, physical and mental &#13;
exhaustion, feelings of helplessness, fear and insecurity in readiness for any pandemic eventuality and as well &#13;
avoid placing professionals with no experience in the care of critically‐ill patients during any pandemic. The study &#13;
recommended that training of nurses, especially the younger ones to combat any emergency was necessary, &#13;
provision of all the necessary equipment including private protective equipment, employment of more hands to &#13;
lessen workload, and further research be conducted to cover all the hospitals in the state

<title>Emergency Preparedness Among Health Care Workers in Federal Medical Center Keffi, Nasarawa State, Nigeria</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/2758</link>
<description>Emergency Preparedness Among Health Care Workers in Federal Medical Center Keffi, Nasarawa State, Nigeria
AUTA, Tanko Titus
It is essential that all health care workers, regardless of profession or position, understand at least the basic &#13;
concepts of emergency preparedness because of the wide variety of roles they may be asked to fulfill in an &#13;
emergency situation. The study was aimed at investigating the emergency preparedness of nurses working in the &#13;
trauma section at federal medical center keffi, Nasarawa state. A descriptive survey method with questionnaire as &#13;
the tool for data collection was adopted for the study and purposive sample technique was utilsed to select 150 &#13;
participant among nurses. Data analysis was achieved using the statistical package of social science version 26.0 &#13;
and result presented using tables, frequencies and percentages, mean and standard deviations. Major finding shows &#13;
that the nurses understood the concepts of emergency preparedness with the following findings; level of &#13;
emergency preparedness 107(71.3%) capacity to effectively manage trauma cases 112(74.7%), and experience of &#13;
health workers 104(69.3%) respectively and were willing to respond to emergency. The study also identified &#13;
barriers such as Inadequate /training workshop 75(50.0%), absence of incentives 92(61.3%), (delay in salary 71 &#13;
(47.3%) disbursement and promotion 56(37.3%)), inadequate working equipment51 (34.0%) and insufficient &#13;
medical consumables73 (48.7%), as well as inadequate manpower 51(34.0%) among others were factors affecting &#13;
staff willingness to embrace emergency preparedness. The study suggested that the authority should address and &#13;
provide adequate and enabling environment (continued education and training programs, disaster-related &#13;
education centers and educational opportunities on various types of disasters, timely salary payment and &#13;
motivation to serve as an encouragement for the staff to boast staff moral in the discharge of their duties, and &#13;
further studies be conducted to cover a wider spectrum.

<title>What is a Good Way to Visualize the Positive Correlation between Two Numerical Variables?</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/2460</link>
<description>What is a Good Way to Visualize the Positive Correlation between Two Numerical Variables?
AUTA, Tanko Titus
Most of the results of correlation analysis between variables are not equipped with visualization, so it is deemed &#13;
necessary to explain how best to visualize the results of correlation analysis, especially for numerical variables. &#13;
In this case, the best way to present correlations between numerical variables is a scatter diagram. If the points on &#13;
the diagram are closer to the straight line, the higher the correlation coefficient, meaning that the degree of &#13;
correlation is getting stronger. In this case, the positive correlation is indicated by the line from the lower left to &#13;
the upper right. This visualization helps clarify the reader's understanding of the results of the correlation analysis, &#13;
as well as being a valuable lesson for their similar research projects.

<description>Statistics Kingdom: A Very Helpful Basic Statistical Analysis Tool for Health Students
AUTA, Tanko Titus
“Statistics Kingdom” is a website that really helps the learning process of “statistics and research” for health &#13;
students. When final year health students need statistical analysis tools for their research projects, then visiting &#13;
the “Statistics Kingdom” website is a very good choice. Health students can very easily enter data and then analyze &#13;
it directly on the website, also provided the opportunity to ask questions and discuss further with the consultant. &#13;
Thus, “Statistics Kingdom” is a web-based statistical analysis tool that health students really need.
