EFFECT OF RESIST DYEING TECHNIQUES ON CONTEMPORARY FASHION DESIGN AND TEXTILE ART AMONG STUDENTS OF PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES IN NASARAWA STATE
DABOH, Obadiah Ayok
The study examined the effect of resist dyeing techniques on contemporary fashion design and textile art among students of public
universities in Nasarawa State. The study adopted a causal research design involving the administration of a structured
questionnaire to a purposive sample of 100 students across various departments in Nasarawa State University, Keffi and
Federal University of Lafia. The collected survey data was applied towards estimation of a path model, using Partial Least
Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results obtained indicated that exogenous components of competency
Level, Access to Resources, Cultural and Artistic Influence, Educational Curriculum and Integration of technology were positive
and statistically significant predictors of the application of resist dyeing techniques in fashion design and textile art. Accordingly,
targeted interventions were recommended to enhance skills of students of fashion design through specialised training programs or
focused coursework. Institutions should also ensure that students have access to the necessary resources for learning and practicing
resist dyeing effectively. Also, students should be encouraged to draw inspiration from various cultural and artistic sources in
order to enrich their work. Additionally, it is crucial for continuous evaluation and improvement of the curriculum in order to
align with industry trends and technological advancements. Finally, Institutions should consider incorporating technology-driven
learning tools and digital resources into their educational approaches.

Effect of Agriculture Promotion Policy on Farm Productivity in Ogun State, Nigeria
ORISAREMI, Joseph Omeiza;
The study examined the effect of agriculture promotion policy on farm productivity in Ogun State.
Specifically, the study seeks to verify the effect of agriculture promotion policy on productivity in Ogun State.
There are claims that recent agriculture policy led to increased food production, yet quality output in terms of
improved yield and nutrition value is relatively low due to low productivity. The problem of low productivity in
the agricultural sector is attributed to several factors including inefficient extension services, low level of adoption
of improved seedlings, poor inputs quality and inefficient input distribution system, ineffective and inadequate
mechanisation and irrigation facilities, poor access to credit, poorly managed soil fertility profile and aging farmer
population. Objective of the study is to examine the effect of agriculture promotion policy on farm productivity in
Ogun State, Nigeria. Methodology used in the study was a descriptive survey designed with the aid of
administration of questionnaire to collect data from key respondents. Two hundred and eighty-three (283) samples
were derived using Taro Yamane statistical formula. Using random sampling techniques, two hundred and thirty
six (236) respondents comprising of farmers, agripreneurs, members of commodity associations returned the
questionnaires. The study used regression analysis to determine the effect of agriculture promotion policy on farm
productivity and analysed research hypotheses using SPSS version 20. The findings of the study reveal that
agriculture promotion policy has a positive significant effect on farm productivity indicated by (coefficient of
0.353, f test= 86.568 and p=0.000). The study recommended that since Ogun State has no agriculture research
centers, collaborations with agricultural research centers is vital to improve varieties of seeds, livestock and other
input.

backdrop this study examined the effect of innovation on SMEs international business in Nigeria. The study also
focused on export-oriented SMEs in Nigeria. Descriptive research design was used. A stratified sample size of 228 was
drawn from the population of 529 performing exporters in Nigeria using a structured questionnaire formulated for the
purpose of the study. Multiple regressions were used to analyze data and the existing relationship between selected

positive effect on SMEs international business in Nigeria. The study therefore recommended that SME exporters in
Nigeria exhibit market innovation skills and knowledge of product to increase market share across borders and generate
