Advances in technology have provided people with unparalleled opportunities to &#13;
communicate efficiently and in real time. Adults with an inappropriate sexual interest &#13;
in children have also benefited from developments in information and communications &#13;
technology, using it to establish contact with them, to develop relationships, and to &#13;
groom potential victims for sexual abuse and exploitation. Based on this, this study &#13;
examined how social media has become a gateway for online child grooming. The &#13;
study was anchored on the luring communication theory. The study adopted in-depth &#13;
interview as its research design. The study used purposive sampling technique to &#13;
draw a sample size of 15 experts. Findings from the study revealed that since the &#13;
introduction of social media platforms, the amount of child sexual abuse content &#13;
has been increasing yearly as these platforms have become a channel that offenders &#13;
use in soliciting and sharing of explicit images and videos of minors.

This study examined how Nigerians understood fake news. It took a qualitative &#13;
approach, conducting in-depth interviews with 30 journalists to determine their &#13;
understanding of fake news and explore how media literacy can help combat &#13;
fake news. The sample was purportedly drawn from Nigeria’s six geopolitical &#13;
zones to ensure representativeness. Gatekeeping Theory and Public Sphere &#13;
Theory were used to better understand how journalists use their professional &#13;
role of vetting information and releasing only credible information to the public. &#13;
The analyzed data show that social networks facilitate the spread of false news &#13;
more than mainstream media. The findings also show that fake news spreads &#13;
due to factors such as time constraints, clickbait, user-generated content, and &#13;
competitiveness. Media literacy is important because it serves as the foundation &#13;
for being an informed and critical thinker; thus, the study recommends, among &#13;
other things, that media outlets evaluate and cross-check their sources, as well &#13;
as encourage politicians and government officials to be cautious in their choice &#13;
of words, as they have the potential to spread rapidly and incite violence.

This work focused on examining whether Ethical Corporate Communication has any &#13;
relationship with business productivity and to what extent this has impacted the Nigerian &#13;
business environment. The trigger was the observable decline in ethical values in business &#13;
dealings and the seeming craze for immediate personal benefits and profit margins which &#13;
have become the focus of business transactions in corporate entities. This is in spite of several &#13;
attempts at ethical reorientation. Integrity and loyalty no longer seem to matter. The work &#13;
was anchored on Classical Management and Norm theories; a survey of four public service &#13;
institutions was carried out through random administration of questionnaires to more than &#13;
410 employees. Findings showed that although there is widespread awareness of the role of &#13;
communication in business productivity as well as the essence of Code of Ethics in the &#13;
integrity of organizational perception, ineffective ethical corporate communication and lack &#13;
of adherence to ethical codes have become impediments to efficiency, with attendant &#13;
negative impact on business productivity in the organizations surveyed. Given the potency of &#13;
ethical codes in defining the way things should be done in any corporate situation, it was &#13;
recommended that both the government and body corporates should emphasize integration of &#13;
ethical values in everyday practice across board. Another recommendation is that Ethical &#13;
Corporate Communication should be adopted in directing employee attitudes towards &#13;
business productivity in Nigeria and sanctions must follow any breach for effectiveness and &#13;
deterrence.

Nano, micro, small, and medium enterprises (NMSMEs) are still heavily reliant on the “brick-and-mortar” &#13;
system or traditional street-side business methodology, which is no longer as efficient as it once was. &#13;
In contrast to the foregoing, this study examined the effect of new media on nano and micro enterprises &#13;
(MSSBs) in Nigeria. Hinged on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and theory of digital divide, &#13;
the research employed a survey method to generate responses from micro business owners within 36 &#13;
business categories in Bauchi Metropolis by deploying 100 questionnaires to a random sample size. &#13;
Chi-Square test calculator and sample median test were used to examine the various hypotheses at a 5% &#13;
level of significance. The analysis revealed that there was no significant positive relationship between &#13;
new media products’ usage and increased business performance in Bauchi. This is because the majority &#13;
of NME owners were still unaware of what new media products could offer them. As such, NME owners &#13;
need to be trained to adopt the new media tools in order to boost NMEs in this region
